1st President Bessie Starkie.jpg

Weymouth Art Association began in the 1930's with a small group of artists who met in a storefront in Weymouth Landing. WAA was established in 1961. One of their founders Bessie Starkie, who (below) became the WAA first acting president.

Weymouth Art Association has been meeting at Tufts Library once a month with an artist who would perform an educational presentation.  The goal has always been to support our artist and open up a learning experience to the community.  WAA has two judged shows a year and offers the Around Town display program to it's artist members on a two month rotation.
